At 18.33 tonight (Friday 24th) Humber Coastguard, requested the launch of Bridlingon inshore Lifeboat after receiving a report of a paddle boarder off the south beach having difficulty getting back to shore. Lifeboats volunteer, Jason Webber took command of his first shout as a fully passed out helm and his crew returned the tired but grateful paddle boarder and her board, to the beach to be reunited with her waiting family and friends. The Lifeboat was returned to service readiness by 19.15. Remember if you see a person in difficulty in or around the water, call 999 and ask for the coastguard. Also if you are a water user for any water sport, take a method of calling for assistance if you have difficulty. Items such as a waterproof VHF or a mobile phone in a waterproof pouch. #SavingLivesAtSea #RespectTheWater #talkreachthrow
